Chelo, a sensitive young galga who is waiting to regain confidence

Its identity : Chelo is a beautiful Galga born on September 1, 2024. It weighs about 25 kilos and measures 60 cm at the withers and 66 cm long. She is vaccinated and ready to join a family that will give her the time and gentleness she needs.

Its history: Chelo arrived at the shelter with her mother, Cheni, as well as another galga, Chapu. Everything suggests that they belong to the same family. All three lived freely on a rural plot of land. Their previous owner could no longer take care of them properly and only came to see them every two or three days. When their situation became untenable, they were entrusted to the shelter in order to have a chance to find a better life. For Chelo, this change was particularly difficult. Accustomed to living far from the world and human demands, she arrived very worried and suspicious. Yet, day by day, she progresses and begins to understand that humans can also bring security and affection.

His character: Chelo is an extremely sweet and submissive young dog. Behind her shyness hides a tender soul that is just waiting to blossom. She needs time to trust her, but does not show any aggressiveness. When she feels safe, she reveals all her delicacy and sensitivity. Calm and discreet, she enjoys quiet walks as much as moments of rest. She is a touching dog who deserves a family ready to accompany her with patience in the discovery of her new life.

His agreements: Chelo gets along very well with all dogs. The presence of a balanced companion could even help him gain confidence in his future home. It is compatible with respectful children who are used to living with sensitive dogs. Its compatibility with cats has not yet been tested.

His daily life: Chelo walks well on a leash and enjoys walks, which allow him to discover the world at his own pace. She also travels very well by car. Even if she still needs to gain confidence, she is making steady progress and shows a good ability to adapt when the environment is calm and reassuring.

She will be placed sterilized, vaccinated, identified and dewormed. Tests for Mediterranean diseases are negative but the test for leishmaniasis will be redone in the event of an adoption request and will then have to be redone once a year, as the disease is endemic in Spain and can take several years to be detectable.
